I often enjoy reading books after I have seen the movie of that book. First Blood by David Morrell is an excellent read. Its better than the film in the sense that you really feel the pain Vietnam Vets endured after the War. The book displayed the fact that PSTD absolutely affects soldiers. Also, I found interesting how Morrell addressed the fact that there is a dichotomy with tradation and authority vs great heroism and horrible experiences. For example, Rambo was in horoic positions of authority in the war. However, Rambo had to face an injust authority which was exemplified by the small town cop. In addition, the book is much more suspenseful than the film... Kyle
